Snow Shoveling Safety Tips
It's that time of year again and this year there has been a lot of snow! Before deciding to get your next chore of snow shoveling done, remember a few things first:
-
Stretching. Get your body moving around a bit before.
-
Push as much as you can. Push the snow as much as you can and try to lift less if possible.
-
Equipment. Choose a light weight snow shovel over a heavy one to lighten your load.
-
Take a break. Don't try to get everything done in one long trip, take a break and get some hot chocolate.
-
Back brace. Try wearing a back brace to help with low back pain.
-
Don't twist. Try not to twist as you lift the snow, that's what causes back injuries.
